Sending CROWS any of these details will save us time, in some cases it will mean we don’t have to send a volunteer to inspect the problem.
Stiles and gates etc:
- Is it dangerous?
- What needs replacing (for a stile – the treadboards, the side-uprights, the step legs, the cross rails … or the whole structure!)
Drainage
- Is the route impassable or ok with boots or walking shoes or is it a minor issue?
Encroaching vegetation
- Is the route impassable, very narrow or painful (prickles/nettles etc)
- Type of vegetation – soft like grass or woody like brambles and trees
Waymarking
- Path route is very confusing
- Existing post just needs a waymark disc or a new post is needed
