Volunteer with CROWS

Volunteering for work parties

Based on our experience we can only take on a maximum of 4 new people a year to ensure that people get a decent induction and training to work safely. As a completely voluntary organisation, we have limited resources so are unable to increase the number.

There is always a strong demand from people to volunteer with us and at the moment we have ??? on the waiting list, which is likely to mean a wait of at least ??? (we will regularly update the number)

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us with your name and email address and we will put you on the waiting list.

When you get towards the top of the list, we will send you an Expression of Interest form.  This will ask for more details and is the first step towards getting you on board as a volunteer.

Once a year we write to everybody on the waiting list to ask you whether you wish to be removed from it because circumstances have changed  or you have found another place to volunteer.

Volunteering to help us identify problems

We always need people to report problems to us. Some people occasionally send us a report using our easy to use report form on our website.

Volunteering to help us with ‘back office’ tasks

We have several volunteers who help us with keeping the organisation going (fundraising, finance, social media, publicity, safety, technical input). If you think you may have something to offer, please contact us .

You also might want to consider becoming a volunteer path checker for Peak and Northern – a good way to explore paths you may not have used before and at the same time, report problems to us.
